PLAYTYPE 3: SOFT DRINK FLOWERS
Process:
To collect materials for this Play type I collected soft drink cans. I firstly started by cutting the cans open and flattening them to create a flat surface. I then used the Fiskars Lia Griffith Medium Star Flower Punch Green and the Fiskars Lia Griffith X-Large Daisy Punch Green to whole punch flowers out of the aluminium cans. To give the flowers a three dimensional effect I gently curved each leaf upwards using my finger. I also used a Stanley knife to cut the delicate looking flowers I wanted them to move across the recycled leather organically so I randomly scattered them across the page ensuring the colours of the cans were spread out evenly. To secure the embellishment onto the fabric I used a fabric glue as I didn't want to see any stitch marks. See below pictures for the process.

MATERIALS: Soft Drink Cans, Recycled faux leather, leftover sewing thread, hole puncher.
TECHNIQUES -Creating sequins out of soft drink cans, securing sequins in order.

Overall I was very surprised by how well the fabric glue worked in this piece. I will specifically be taking on the intricate motifs to further explore in my final artefact.
