PLAYTYPE 10: CAN TOP NETTING
Process:
For this Play type I was again inspired by Paco Rabanne who uses unusual techniques and materials that would always push the boundaries through eye-catching creations. With an education in architecture his approach to the way he thought about materials and techniques when creating clothing was a lot different to the norm. The bottle caps used in this play type reminded me of Rabanne’s material use of hard metal materials that were linked together using chains, rivets and wires seen in the examples below and Playtype 4.

For this Play type I also had quite a lot of inspirational imagery that I found from Etsy especially the Cambodian designer Oeun Deseze who creates garments out of Aluminium recycled pop tabs to create a netting look normally worn over slip dresses. I have attached some images below sourced from his Etsy account at: https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/658025066/pop-tab-net-dress-cambodia
